Electrical Installation Condition Report
These reports ensure that your property is safe, that all new electrical installations are fitted correctly, and the relevant electrical safety regulations are met.
The purpose of an electrical certificate is to demonstrate that fixed electrical installation’s in all properties are safe to use. If you’re a private landlord or you run a business, then you are legally required to ensure your property has a Satisfactory EICR in place so that you can prove the fixed electrical installation is safe and fit for use.
At Davenheath Services, we specialise in EICRs for both residential premises and commercial properties. Following the test you will be issued with a certificate, any remedial works will be quoted for upon completion.
Portable Appliance Testing
This is the best way to ensure that your appliances are safe to use, protecting staff & residents in your property. Regular PAT testing helps organisations to comply with required health and safety duties and, ensures the safety of employees, customers and visitors. This testing is usually carried out every 12 months.
Following each inspection, we will then provide all results in a report to you. Detailing any identified issues, along with any recommendations for the removal, repair or replacement of any appliances that have failed to meet the correct standards.

Fire Risk Assessments
The law applies to you if you are:
Responsible for business premises
An employer or self-employed with business premises
Responsible for a part of a dwelling where that part is solely used for business purposes
A charity or voluntary organisation
A contractor with a degree of control over any premises
Providing accommodation for paying guests
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person must carry out a fire safety risk assessment and implement and maintain a fire management plan.
The report will take into account the type of building, type of business, persons at risk, fire alarm, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, signage etc, electrical testing, etc. The primary purpose of this assessment is to identify potential risks and hazards and provide recommendations to minimise the chances of a fire occurrence. Davenheath Services can arrange for one of our approved & certified assessors to attend your property and carry out a Fire Risk Assessment (FRA). Following this site visit a written assessment will be supplied to you with any action points that require your attention, including a time frame that these requirements are to be completed by.
Prior to 2005 the Fire Brigade were responsible to assess a building for fire safety and they provided a Fire Safety Certificate. The Fire Brigade still hold jurisdiction on fire safety within each area and now require you to provide an adequate Fire Risk Assessment report on your business and premises. Failure to do so, if required, and dependent upon the level of fire safety breaches, could result in prosecution.
